So, how can you be amazing at one thing, not mediocre at several? What are your strengths, how do you find them and how do you make them work in your business?
You can’t have it all and you certainly can’t do it all!
Yet why do you constantly beat yourself up attempting to be perfect at everything?
Unlike the multitude of ‘Shelf’ help and inspirational books out there I don’t believe that success in business comes from a four-hour work week, seven habits of highly successful people or the law of attraction.
Success comes from hard work, long hours – and expertise.
Ask Yourself This Question. Why Should People Buy from You Rather Than Your Competition?
Because you’re amazing – right?
When you start a business it doesn’t matter what your service is – from accountancy to zoology – there will be someone else out there doing the same or something pretty similar to you.
So, what makes a customer buy from you rather than the other person?
Some say it’s marketing….
I Say It’s Expertise
People put their trust in experts; therefore, they like to buy from experts. Who on earth would want to buy something from someone who is just so-so or mediocre.
The answer to the question I asked is simple. They will buy from you rather than someone else doing the same thing because they buy into your expertise.
You may be a bit reticent about putting yourself out there as ‘The Expert’, but in your business, offering your products or services you are the expert.
- There is no other person doing precisely what you do in the way you do it
- The way you talk about your business, your products and your services is unique. No one can do it the way you do
- You are the only one who knows what influences you, where your focus lays and the aspects of your business sector that influence you most
These things make you amazing; they make you The Expert in your business so, own it!
