Energiser: Local Business Accelerator | Intensive face-to-face and peer support for the growing number of start-ups and small firms operating across the UK | Kathy Ennis | LittlePiggy

Enterprise Nation has launched a pioneering Local Leaders network to provide intensive face-to-face and peer support for the growing number of start-ups and small firms operating across the UK looking for affordable, relevant advice.

I am really pleased to announce that I have been chosen to be one of the first cohort of 12 Local Leaders for the Enterprise Nation Energiser programme

What is Energiser?

This new initiative will develop and nurture a community of around 20 local firms who will join Energiser, a 10-week local business accelerator to build confidence, share experiences, and achieve growth.

The initiative is in response to research which suggests only 17% of businesses are currently working with a professional adviser despite the fact that evidence suggests those that take on board advice do better than those that don’t.

This fresh approach could unlock as much as £10bn for Britain’s small businesses.

How Will Energiser Work in Norfolk?

As a Local Leader my role will be to collaborate with the local authorities and Growth Hubs in my county – Norfolk. I will host bi-monthly groups, delivering growth support over a 10-week period looking at key topics including sales and marketing, access to finance, leadership and management.

Each Energiser session will include a presentation from a topic expert, followed by open discussion on how the business owners are dealing with similar challenges and responding to opportunities.

The idea is that each business owner will come in to the group with an identified challenge and objective, and work towards achieving this over 10 weeks.
