There is no denying that social media is a brilliant tool for marketing your small or micro business. But you have to make your social media posts on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter stand out from the crowd. The more creative you are, the more likely your posts are to be appealing to your followers and customers.

This means you need to embrace the use of images and videos if you want your social media marketing efforts come to life.

  • By 2019 video will account for 80% of all consumer internet traffic

Well, here’s an update, because I want you to be able to create stunning, engaging and eye-catching images and videos for all your social media marketing – and, with many of them, you only need your phone!

Adobe Color CC – allows you to create colour schemes with the colour wheel or browse thousands of colour combinations.

Boomerang – combines photos into one-second videos that play forward and backward in a loop. Great fun, really eye-catching and post directly to Instagram.

Canva – is a graphic-design tool website. It has an easy to use drag-and-drop dashboard. It provides pre-sized templates for all the social media image specifications as well as millions of design ideas and photographs.

Legend – is an App that animates text that can be used as an image. Great for Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

 

Lumen5 – is a video creation dashboard that allows you to create videos with text captions over images and short video clips. One great feature is the ability to tie your Lumen5 dashboard to your blog and they will create sample videos out of everything you post.

PicMonkey – is a creative photo-editing tool. It has a photo editor, graphic design features, collage maker and lots of templates.

Placeit – is a tool that allows you to create mock-ups and high-quality product images of products, apps and books being used in realistic environments

Quik – is an app that allows you to pull together a variety of images and short video clips to create a video. You can also add a musical soundtrack.

Ripl – is an app that allows you to create animations on top of photographs

Snapseed – is a photo-editing app that allows you to make massive changes to any photographs you have taken with your phone. Not only contrast and brightness, but also adjust focus, turn to black and white and add text over the images.

Videoshop – is an app that allows you to combine videos and images. You are also able to resize and edit videos.
